The North York Moors National Park is one of the finest landscapes in Britain. Miles of stunning heather, towering sea cliffs, secluded beaches and grassy dales give it a character all of its own. Discover wildlife, historic buildings, archaeology, ancient woodlands and picturesque villages.
Byland was one of the great Yorkshire Cistercian abbeys, housing at its zenith well over 200 monks and lay brothers. Its great circular rose window, now surviving only in part, was probably the model for the rose window of York Minster.
Newburgh Priory is a large and imposing house near Coxwold, North Yorkshire. Standing on the site of an Augustinian priory, founded in 1145, it is a fine stately home.

The North's spiritual capital for 2000 years, York is central to Britain's colourful history. Visit the stunning York Minster, enjoy Stonegate and Shambles shopping and live the York history at the JORVIK Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and York Castle Museum.
Probably the most impressive Stately home in the North of England. Has been used for filming on many occasions including the popular Brideshead revisited.
